Understanding Gastrointestinal Issues: Effects on Behavior and Social-Emotional Well-being of People with Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities

Gastrointestinal Disorders impact millions of people, across all ages and spectrums. A recent study revealed that roughly 40-60% of children with Autism suffer from some gastrointestinal complication. In this workshop, Mr. Baker will not only discuss the importance of recognizing signs and symptoms but will speak about the potential social-emotional and behavioral effects these disorders can potentially impact on in the day to day tasks.
